Creative Arts Camp: Day 2

Welcome back everyone! It's Morgan with Day 2 of camp. If you haven't seen Day 1 yet, click here to read about our exciting day. After an amazing day Tuesday, I was super excited to go back yesterday. So, without further ado, here is Day 2!

Mom wanted to take some photos of us before we went to camp. Briana, Elizabeth and Anna came over to get a ride and breakfast. We took a few photos.

Here is the camp counselors, ready to take on today.

Everyone is our adorable outfits. Elizabeth and Ariana are wearing the same shirts. From Left to Right: Ella, Melodie, Ariana, Me (Morgan), Anna, Briana and Elizabeth.

The two most adorable girls in the world: Ariana and Anna.

The hug only gets bigger when Ella and Elizabeth join in.

After our paparazzi got enough photos, we headed out the door. We had left everything set up from Tuesday, so we only had to print some things and figure out what music to play for our dance party.

Sierra and I. Sierra had her hair in two buns in the back, and it looked amazing.

You didn't think the counselors don't have a good time, did you?

Counselor Dance Party! Melodie chose to take the pictures for us.

After a good dance party, our campers started to arrive and we had to be serious.

Emily working the Sign-In Desk. She looks absolutely fabulous in her outfit.

Ella, Elizabeth, Ariana and Anna arrived and wanted to dance, so Sierra and Briana offered to dance with them.

Sierra and Ella. You can see Elizabeth in the background, and Anna is there, too. It's just hard to see her.

Ariana looks like a Munchkin from the Wizard of Oz in her green and white chevron top and rainbow leggings. Briana was sporting a cute purple leopard print top and jeans.

There's Anna. I think Elizabeth was helping her do a handstand.

Someone decided to do a congo line, so Sierra, Ariana and Ella made one line and Briana, Elizabeth and Anna formed another line. Congo line #1

Congo Line #2. You can also see me in the corner with Emily, checking people in.

When I didn't think Ella could do anything else amazing after yesterday's dance moves, she did. Here she is working on her press hanstand. Go Ella!

I think Anna was trying to do a handstand. She looks adorable in h er pink flowered pants. Elizabeth is in the back doing a split.

Attempt #2. Ariana is cheering her big sister on.

Elizabeth is cheering on her little sister.

Ariel, Summer and Audrey arrived and joined in the fun. It was then I noticed that Ariel and Ella almost matched.

One number difference.

With the letter "E" on the front. Aren't the two of them so cute?

Sierra got so many pictures of dance rehearsal, so we had to share. The girls all spread out and we warmed up a little (since they were warm from dancing) and then began reviewing choregraphy from the day before.

Ella, Anna and Ariel.

Audrey and Elizabeth

After reviewing the choreography, Emily taught them some new choreography. I don't think I mentioned this before, but we are using the song "Tale as Old as Time" from Beauty and the Beast to dance to. We chose the Broadway version because we already had it, and we haven't actually seen the new live-action Beauty and the Beast.

Elizabeth and Audrey learning the choreography. Doesn't Audrey look cute with her purple shirt, black pants with hearts and pink bow?

Ella, Anna and Ariel. I'm really impressed how quickly Anna picked up the choreography.

All the girls dancing. This is the part Emily choreographed. She did such a great job of teaching it.

Close ups of each group.

"As the sun will rise"

They all look like a sun. It's hard to see it because we had to take two shots, but onstage it's going to look amazing.

We had lunch, but everyone was so busy eating no one remembered to take a photo. After lunch we had our craft. The craft was intricate coloring pages for the girls to color in. We had four different ones we found on the Web. The girls had a lot of fun.

The seven little artists and their work. They were so proud of themselves.

At the end of the day we decided to take a photo of all the girls to use on the blog. Can you figure out the trend here?

If you guessed that all the girls are wearing hair-bows, you are correct. No, this is not pure coincidence. The girls actually planned to all wear bows and surprise us. They also tried to coordinate their outfits. They're so sweet.

Today was the last day of camp, and the counselors had some big surprises for the girls, so stay tuned for more.

What is your favorite thing about summer?

Creative Arts Camp: Day 1

Hello everyone! It's Morgan. This week Melodie, Briana, Emily and I are helping at a Creative Arts Camp. Our campers are our little sisters and their friends, and we are so excited to get to do this.

The camp is three days long, and yesterday was the first day. We are going to be posting about the camp for the next three days, and I'm super excited to show you what we did. So, let's get started.

Melodie, Briana and I got to the location early to set up. Emily came a little later with Sierra, who offered to photograph the camp. She took a few photos while we got ready for everyone.

Our campers started arriving, so I put on the album from Dreamworks' "Trolls". Ella, Elizabeth, Ariana and Anna started to have a dance party.

Go Anna! Isn't her robot jumper so cute?

Ella attempting to do the worm. I'm surprised at how well she can do it. I can't even do the worm.

Elizabeth is the only one dancing like a normal person. She looks absolutely fabulous in her pretty white shirt with blue flowers that match her eyes.

Ariana was nervous about camp, so she was hanging around me. I tried to dance with her, but she didn't really want to.

Audrey, Summer and Ariel joined in after they arrived.

We only have 7 campers, which we feel is a good amount. Since all the younger girls are so close, it's going to be a whole lot of fun.

Anna was so excited Summer was there, so she went over and sat with her, and they sang along to all the songs.

The two cousins; Ella and Elizabeth.

You can barely see Ariel in the corner, doing her thing. Audrey was doing a split.

Wow, Ella. Sierra caught this photo while she was going from a bridge to standing up. I can't really describe it, but I can assure you it was really cool.

Everyone was having a great time on the dance floor. Ariana decided she didn't really want to dance, so she and I cheered everyone on.

These girls never cease to amaze me with how fun and creative they are in their dances.

After a good dance party, Emily and I started to choreograph a group dance for the girls to perform. They are all going to be dressing up as Disney princesses, and it's going to be a lot of fun. We may be able to use the dance for a performance later in the year.

The girls sat in the groups we assigned them in while we demonstrated the choreography.

Briana and Melodie watched as Emily and I choreographed.

We split the girls up into groups to do partner work. They all picked up the choreography really quickly, and I was super impressed with them.

After dancing, we were all hungry, so we had lunch. Afterwards, everyone sat around and chatted before we did a craft.

The girls just hanging after lunch.

The craft was making masks based off of each girl's chosen princess.

Our supplies. We found a template for a mask on the Web, and I had yarn and scissors already. We also had a large box of crayons for the girls to use to color with.

We took a group photo of everyone in their beautiful creations.

From left to right:

Ariel (Ariel), Summer (Rapunzel), Ariana (Merida), Elizabeth (Cinderella), Ella (Elsa) and Audrey (Belle)

Afterwards, we danced around until the parents showed up to pick everyone up. I'm super excited for tomorrow.

Do you go to summer camp?
